Having your pavers sealed enhances the natural beauty of your pavers. In addition to the beautification of your pavers, it also provides a level of stain resistance and protection from the sun's harmful rays. Unsealed pavers are vulnerable to staining and also fading over time due to Florida's constant sun and heat exposure.
The pavers are thoroughly cleaned with a cleaning solution. We allow time to ensure the pavers are free from any standing water. Yes, that is correct, our sealers are breathable and do not require completely dry pavers prior to the application of our sealer. We then re-sand the pavers, as needed, then apply the sealant to the pavers. The sealant will be sufficiently dry to walk on within 2.5 - 3 hours after application and to drive on after 24-48 hours.
Once the pavers are sealed with an inferior sealer, moisture can become trapped under the sealer which causes a “milky” appearance to the pavers. A common cause is sealer being applied to pavers that are not completely dry. Too much sealer applied to pavers can also cause this "milky" appearance.
Absolutely, we will asses the condition. We can relevel your pavers and reinstall polymeric joint sand to make your pavers look like the day they were originally installed.
There are many factors that affect the life of the sealer. Most common are; exposure to cleaning solutions and chemicals, the quality of the initial application of the sealer, and the type of sealant that was initially applied. The sealer we use lasts around 3-5 years.
Absolutely. When a sealing job is not done correctly many unfortunate results may occur. The most common being trapping sand and debris in the sealer and applying too much sealer to the pavers. Once this occurs, the old sealer must be stripped off and new sealer reapplied.
